Privacy policy
How Buddy Labs LLC collects, uses, stores, and shares information.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide in a search, request, invoice review, account, equipment record, order, return, or support message. This can include contact details, business and shipping details, part numbers, equipment identifiers, serial ranges, descriptions, photographs, documents, invoice lines, purchase information, and communications. Our systems also receive ordinary technical data such as request time, browser information, IP-derived security signals, and service logs. On public pages, we record an anonymous tab session, the page path, a broad referring source, important actions, and page performance. We do not put raw searches, email addresses, full referring links, IP addresses, or private account and request-status pages in that activity record.
2. How we use information
We use information to identify parts, answer requests, calculate prices, process payments and orders, arrange shipping, provide support, handle returns and warranties, prevent abuse, understand which public pages and actions are useful, improve the catalog, and meet legal obligations. The public-page activity record is not created when the browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal.
3. Uploads stay private
We do not publish customer photos, invoices, serial numbers, or documents. We may count repeated searches or requests without names or private files to choose which parts to research next.
4. Service providers, fulfillment, and seller links
We share only the information needed to host the site, store files, process payments, prevent abuse, send messages, and fulfill orders. Stripe receives checkout and payment information. Suppliers and carriers may receive the name, address, phone number, item, quantity, and shipping instructions needed for an order. Affiliate tracking begins only when you choose a labeled compensated link. The seller and affiliate network then handle link, browser, device, and referral information under their own policies. We do not sell personal information for money.
5. Retention
Unresolved request uploads are normally deleted or deidentified within 90 days after the request closes, unless you ask us to retain them or a dispute, safety issue, fraud review, or legal obligation requires longer retention. Anonymous public-page activity is deleted after 180 days. Order, payment, tax, refund, warranty, and accounting records may be retained for seven years. Security logs may be retained for a shorter operational period unless needed for an investigation.
6. Choices and requests
You may ask to access, correct, or delete information by emailing us. We may need to verify the request and may retain records that are required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, product safety, dispute handling, or another lawful purpose. Marketing email, if introduced, will include an unsubscribe method.
7. Security and children
We use access controls, private storage, file checks, and encryption. No system is guaranteed secure. The service is for businesses and adults, not children under 13.
